Dr Mazvita Muchengeti, Senior Epidemiologist, National Cancer Registry. Dr Mazvita Muchengeti (MBChB, Dip HIV Management, MSc Epidemiology & Biostatistics, PhD) is a senior epidemiologist at the National Cancer Registry responsible for leading research staff and students at the National Cancer Registry (NCR) of South Africa. Currently her main research interests lie in cancer surveillance and infection-related cancers in African populations. She is a recipient of the African Cancer Leaders Institute, Beginner Investigator Grant for Catalytic Research in Cancer, and African- Oxford Research Development awards. She is also a senior honorary lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics Division.
