PhD Student
Emmanuel is currently a PhD student at the South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA), at Stellenbosch University. His research focuses on modelling the impact of adding wastewater surveillance as a routine method for influenza control. He is passionate about applying mathematical modelling and artificial intelligence techniques to address pressing health challenges in Africa.
Emmanuel holds a BSc in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He earned a Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) and subsequently completed a Master’s in Mathematical Sciences with a focus on Machine Learning at the African Master’s in Machine Intelligence (AMMI) program.
Before joining SACEMA, Emmanuel served as a tutor at AIMS South Africa.
