Junior Researcher
Lauren Brown is a Junior Researcher at SACEMA. She holds an MSc in Applied Mathematics, focusing on the impact of interventions to reduce TB burden in South Africa through mathematical modelling. Lauren is a PhD candidate, working on developing a mathematical model of paediatric TB in South Africa under the supervision of Dr Cari van Schalkwyk (SACEMA), Prof Leigh Johnson (CIDER/UCT) and Dr Karen du Preez (DTTC). Lauren assists with coordinating the SA HIV & TB geospatial analysis working group and collaborates with experts from DTTC on various TB-related projects.
