Michael Li holds an Honors B.Sc in Statistics and Mathematics in University of Toronto, a McMaster University: M.Sc in Statistics with Dr. Ben Bolker in researching “Heterogeneities in Hidden Markov Models for Animal Movement” and a PhD, Biology with Dr. Ben Bolker and Dr. Jonathan Dushoff. His primary focus in developing tools for disease outbreaks and the spread of canine rabies. He also did some work in human-related diseases (e.g. influenza and HIV) and he is currently a Postdoc at McMaster University with Dr. Jonathan Dushoff and a research associate with SACEMA primary researching COVID in North America and Africa.
